Claim Your Self-Worth
Self worth is a very misunderstood concept.
What makes you worthy? What makes you unworthy?
Many people believe themselves to be unworthy,
without even knowing why they believe it.
The second step to building your personal value
is to uncover your self worth.
To understand worth, we need to step back for a minute and
look at the big picture. First of all, you are a creature,
meaning you were created. It sounds obvious, and it is,
but it's important to let in.
As a creature, by definition, you must have had a
creator. Anything that is created must
have had something to create it.
Between you and the creator that created you, there is
a bond, a connection, some sort of invisible force
or energy that is holding the two of you together.
That bond is the basis for your self worth.
Because there is a connection between you and
your creator, you are worthy. You are born
with 100% worth. Everyone is. And it's the
connection that is making you worthy.
There is nothing in the world you could possibly do
to become more worthy or less worthy! Worth
is not a function of your actions. It has nothing
to do with your good deeds or your bad deeds.
It doesn't matter, as far as self worth is concerned.
All that matters is that connection. And that
connection will always be there.
It's impossible to not be worthy.
All have a creator. All are connected. All are
worthy. So why do so few people feel
worthy?
You do have that connection. The problem is this
wonderful connection has been surrounded by a
dark, dirty, muddy mess.
It's like this 'priceless diamond' you own has
fallen into the mud.
The beauty, the quality, the value has not
diminished one bit. But it sure looks dirty.
What you need to realize is that the dirt has not
penetrated into the connection. Your worth
can not be harmed in any way. It is
impenetrable. It will not be compromised.
It has integrity.
Your worth is a beautiful thing, but it may
be hidden from view.

Our own constricting emotions can cover up
our worth, making it look like we don't
have any. Shame. Pain. Rage. Hate. Fear.
Pity. Sorrow. Judgements. Guilt. I could
go on, but you get the picture.
It's not the anger you express in a positive
way and then release. Rather, it's the emotions
you deny.
It's the pity you say you don't have.
It's the shame that is too painful to acknowledge.
It's the fear you want to avoid.
These are the kinds of things that can cover up
the wonderful connection that is the basis
of your self worth. Once you accept you are worthy,
then you can begin to uncover it so as to actually
feel and experience it.
The best way to do this is to ask. Ask whoever
is at the other end of that connection to
remove the sludge.
As you go to sleep at night, ask for the sludge
to be removed from your self worth, so you
can feel more worthy.
As soon as you awake, give thanks for whatever
happened. A lot can happen while you are
sleeping, if you will allow yourself to
recieve.
Ask for seven nights in a row, and
give thanks each morning. You will be
able to notice the difference.
The intrinsic value of worth is that
it gives you a platform, a foundation, an
anchor - to achieve more.
